I had always wanted to give pottery a try, and I finally had the time and means to start in January 2020. I started this hobby for myself because I was curious about it. I thought it’d be awesome if I could present food I’d made on dishes I made and say, “I literally made all of this!”

I love to build pieces by hand as much as I enjoy throwing something on the wheel. When I cook or bake, I envision how people might enjoy it as I’m making it. In the same vein, as I’m creating a piece, I think about how it could look and feel in someone’s home, how it might function.

Being a potter brings me joy, and I love seeing my pieces bring joy into someone else’s home!
